Winter Carnival
January 29th to February 4th 2012
The Winter Carnival Festivities starts on the Sunday, Jan. 29th and ends on Sunday, Feb. 5th. The actual 'WINTER CARNIVAL' is on Saturday, Febuary 4th, 2012.
Due to lack of snow some of the events are cancelled; for instance the "snowshoe day".

Sunday Jan 29
Teddy Bear Picnic
Come and bring your teddy bear for a wonderful picnic at the Mason's Hall. Open to children ages 2-7 $6.00/child Call Tracey May 905 649-6788
Family Toboggan Day
Join your neighbours at Hy Hope Farms (5450 Lakeridge Road) at 1:30 pm. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided by Hy Hope Farms. $2.00 per person. B.Y.O. toboggan!
Beef Dinner
CDCA is hosting a Beef dinner at the Community Centre. Dinner is served at 5:00pm. Advance tickets only. Adults $15.00, Children (6-11) $8.00, under 5 are free. Please call 905 649-2653
Monday
Snow Sculpture Contest
Create the best snow sculpture you can come up with!!! No snow? Be creative!! Judging takes place on Monday at 9:00 am. Please call Sue Smith to register by Sunday. Cash prizes will be awarded.
Photo Contest
Get those photos out and enter them into the contest. Categories: Local Landscapes, Family and Friends, and Make me Laugh. Look through your past carnival pictures and submit them. Prizes in each category. You can enter by submitting your photos to Dean Hachey at 905 649-5356
Youth Indoor Soccer Night
No pre-registration needed, just show up at the Community Centre at the right time with running shoes!! Drinks and snacks provided. Ages 4-6: 6-7 p.m., Ages 7-9: 7-8 p.m., Ages 10-13: 8-9 p.m.
Tuesday
Euchre Tournament
Everyone is welcome at the Senior's Room in the Community Centre starting at 7:00 pm. Contact Norrine Hill at 905 649-2032
Youth Talent Night
Open to talented Claremont residents ages 13-18. Come out and show us your talent!!! Please call Frank Hill at 905 649-2653 before January 27th. Cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
Wednesday
Scouts' Movie Night
Come and watch "The Muppets" on the big screen upstairs at the Legion at 6 pm or 8 pm. Cost: $5.00. This includes a drink and treat. Extra candy and refreshments will be available.
Youth Co-ed Volleyball Night
Open to ages 10-14. Come with your running shoes and knee pads. Starts at 6:30 at the Community Centre.
